About Our Delivery Vehicle

Every ingredient in our PhD Daily Regime Dog and Cat treats is there for a specific reason, including our base ingredients, and are added to the formulation by our doctor. Our base ingredient matrices are formulated to keep our treats moist and flavorful plus provide essential nutrition.

We consider what is NOT in our formula’s to be just as important as what is in our formula’s! We add no artificial colors, flavors and zero cheap fillers!

Dog

Base Ingredients: Buckwheat Flour, Dried Salmon, Vegetable Glycerin, Blackstrap Molasses, Herring Oil, Ground Rosemary, Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Mixed Tocopherols.

Buckwheat Flour: A great grain free source of dietary fiber and contains essential amino acids.

Dried Salmon: Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, particularly long-chain omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. It is a great source of protein, B vitamins, potassium, selenium and the antioxidant astaxanthin.

Vegetable Glycerin: Added to help our treats retain moisture. It is pure, hypoallergenic and 100% vegetable based.

Blackstrap Molasses: Contains vital vitamins and minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium, vitamin B6 and selenium. It is also very flavorful.

Herring Oil: Rich in Omega-3 fatty acids (DHA 13% / EPA 10%) and helps reduce inflammation by inflammatory prostaglandins. It is also very flavorful.

Ground Rosemary: A natural anti-oxidant and preservative.

Citric Acid: A natural anti-oxidant and preservative.

Ascorbic Acid: Also known as vitamin C, it is necessary for the growth, development and repair of all body tissues. It's involved in many body functions, including formation of collagen, absorption of iron, the immune system, wound healing, and the maintenance of cartilage, bones and teeth.

Mixed Tocopherols: Natural antioxidants used to stabilize and preserve our treats.

 

 

Cat

Base Ingredients: Barley Flour, Oat Flour, Dried Salmon, Brewer’s Yeast, Malt Flour, Herring Oil, Vegetable Glycerin, Blackstrap Molasses, Ascorbic Acid, Citric Acid, Mixed Tocopherols.

Barley Flour: A fantastic flour that cat’s love plus it is very low in saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium. It is also a good source of dietary fiber, manganese and selenium.

Oat Flour: A great gluten-free flour that is lower in carbs with more protein and fiber than regular flour.

Dried Salmon: Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, particularly long-chain omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. It is a great source of protein, B vitamins, potassium, selenium and the antioxidant astaxanthin.

Brewer’s Yeast: A complete protein that contains all nine essential amino acids, vitamin B-12 and zinc. It is included to support the immune system and reduce inflammation.

Malt Flour: A healthy flour with vitamin A, C, B6 & K plus calcium, iron, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, magnesium and phosphorus. It helps our treats to stay softer and moister.
